Our new Board of Directors is at the helm and testing out a new structure which consists of a smaller Board that works with a Leadership Team. The Board has also assumed oversight for fundraising and public relations, and will continue to receive support from many individual members and sub-committees who oversee various tasks and responsibilities that keep the club running.

 

Listen to The Peak FM the first Tuesday each month around 8:40 a.m. for the live draw of our monthly winners. This month Jennifer Tomas won the $125 cash prize and the trip was won by Marius Van Der Merwe.  Both tickets were sold by Honoury Rotarian Don Paul. Sarah Houston is our out-bound exchange student heading to Denmark in August and our in-bound student (Matilda) will arrive in August from Finland. We are partnering with the South Georgian Bay club for both students. In addition to the year-long exchange students we have also sponsored three, short-term exchange students.  Shayna Donovan is co-sponsored with the Wasaga Beach Club for a one month exchange; Lily Ruecker is co-sponsored with the SGB Club for a two month exchange; and Zac Nattress is sponsored by our club for a two month exchange.  If you are interesting in becoming a host family, see Geoffrey Belisle.

 

 

 

At our recent changeover, President Karen honoured several Past Presidents with Paul Harris Fellows.  Receiving Paul Harris Fellowship awards were Past Presidents: Pamela Hillier, Paul Darby, Brian Hickey, Susan Kenney, Kim Tranter, Tom Baulke, Gene Peycha, Karen Willison, and Mohammed Saigar.  President Karen also recognized Matthew Wells for his continued support of our club through photography and his work on the Johnson Trust committee.

The Summer Team is up to bat with meeting duties for July, August and September.  Led by Mary Ann Winterton, the team lineup is Tyler Chatterson, Geoffrey Belisle, Dominic Ellis, Brian Hickey, Bill Huggett, Nilusha Premasinghe, and Karen Willison.
