Rotary's theme for May is Youth Service.
Our club has a few different initiatives that foster youth service. We support the Interact Club of Collingwood (for 12 - 18 year olds). Along with the Rotary Club of Wasaga Beach and Rotary Club of Collingwood South Georgian Bay , our club also sponsors high school exchange students, and we send one local student to RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) each year.
At our lunch meeting on Tuesday, May 19, Britani Smith from E3 told us about youth programs and the other good work of E3 Community Services Inc.
At our evening meeting on Tuesday, May 26 at 6 pm, our speakers will be Meemee (Thailand exchange student) and Pia (Argentina exchange student). They will tell us about their year in Collingwood.
