Rotary's theme for September is Education. Our speakers this month will provide insight into this theme.
Join us for a sandwiches and salad lunch meeting on Tuesday. September 9 to learn about the Guatemala Literacy Project (meet at 12:15 pm at 199 Campbell St in Collingwood).
On September 30 at 6 pm at Black Bellows Brewing Company , we'll hear from James Saunders of Saunders Book Company and discuss the science of reading and related initiatives in Ontario schools.

The building houses several non-profit organizations including 211 Community Connection, Home Horizon Transitional Support Program, New Path Youth and Family Services, Catulpa Community Support Services, and CONTACT Community Services. There is also a Supportive Rapid Re-Housing Program (SRRP) building on-site that serves unhoused individuals over 55 transition to permanent housing.
The Collingwood Common Roof and Rotary Hub came about due to the work of some of our Rotarian members. Most notably, James Saunders, whose family previously owned the property and Pamela Hillier.
On April 22, 2025, the Collingwood Common Roof and Rotary Hub held a delayed (due to the COVID pandemic) grand opening. James and Pamela each spoke. Members of Town Council and James Thomson, President and CEO of The Common Roof, attended and spoke. Doug Measures, Mayor of Clearview Township, was also in attendance.
